The RITH-Climate Summit '23, a collaborative effort of Arya.ag and Bayer Foundation India, centred on empowering small farmers for a sustainable future. It drew key stakeholders to discuss climate-resilient agricultural strategies.
In his welcome address, Anand Chandra, Co-Founder and Executive Director at Arya.ag, shared valuable insights of promoting climate-resilient and regenerative farm practises, aiming to facilitate profitable transactions with market players.
Prasanna Rao, Co-Founder & CEO at Arya.ag, said that the initiative embodies a collective commitment to instigate positive change in Indian agriculture, creating a more sustainable and resilient future for small farmers. The event was attended by Franklin L. Khobung, Joint Secretary (NRM/RFS) at the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, as the chief guest.
The panel discussions incorporated at the RITH-Climate Summit '23 provided a comprehensive exploration of critical aspects related to climate-resilient agriculture.
The first panel focused on addressing the challenges in transitioning to climate-resilient production, with a spotlight on incentivising relevant packages of practises for farmers.
The second panel delved into the practical aspect of Actionising Climate Goals, emphasising the need for building connections between corporate actions and grassroots initiatives to achieve tangible climate impacts.
