In line with India’s Net Zero mission, Loom Solar is working with potential sectors to reduce carbon footprint for their energy consumption. Since over 1.5 million textile and fashion cloth manufacturing industrial units are the prime emitters, they are the focus of attention for the company as these units hold a potential of reducing 4.5 metric tonnes of carbon which equals to 7 billion fully grown trees.

Loom Solar has been deploying and engaging with the Industrial units across Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal under green energy ambit by providing in-depth understanding of the purpose and the India’s mission for carbon footprint.

Loom Solar has recently deployed 350 kW solar powered solution with its most efficient solar panels to reflect its long-term corrective action, thereby reducing dependence on captive power through diesel gensets for its premises.

The currently deployed unit boasts of an array of 700 solar panels that are slated to reduce its electricity bill by 60%. With the coupling of diesel genset’s synchronization device making solar power as a primary source shall effectively have an impact on the environment over its lifetime.

With over 300 sunny days in the northern India, the panels are going to breakeven on the investments in about four years of installation and that is precisely the time that the panels will take for offsetting their own carbon footprint.

Nishi Chandra, head marketing, Loom Solar, said, “It is encouraging to see the acceptance and utilisation practices that Industrial units especially the textile and clothing units have been undertaking with due diligence and consideration of ESG practices. With solar power being the primary source, units like these can be part of organically certified category for clothing while making the claim even more ethical. We welcome more industries to adopt solar not in the fear of policy but in commitment to the environment and communities where they operate.”

Loom Solar offers solutions for applications like industrial, commercial, agricultural, NGOs, homes and townships, SOHOs, portable -mobile street shops etc.  With industry’s widest and most advanced range of solar solutions, Loom Solar continues to reach deeper inroads across 500 districts of India.
