The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has marked a significant milestone-its 50th anniversary. This occasion is a testament to TERI's unwavering dedication to sustainable development, environmental research, and resource management over the past five decades. The event celebrated past achievements and set the stage for the institute's future growth and impact in the next 50 years. Importantly, it underscored the role of the Future Supplier Initiative in continuing TERI's legacy.
The day began with the inauguration of an exhibition by R Mukundan, Managing Director & CEO of Tata Chemicals and Governing Council Member of TERI. In his congratulatory speech, Mukundan emphasised the crucial role of TERI in the global sustainable development dialogue. TERI seeks to provide a vital platform for Indian companies as its economy moves towards becoming the third largest in the world. Its influence in shaping the sustainable development narrative for the entire globe, by steering India in that direction, is expected to become increasingly important for India and the entire world.
