Super Smelters Ltd., a company producing iron and steel products, has partnered with TATA Power Renewables to achieve 100 percent green power for steel production in Eastern India. The collaboration, marked by a Memorandum of Understanding and the commissioning of a 5 MW capacity, aims to reduce CO2 emissions in the region.

This initiative is projected to generate 147,014 MWh of clean energy and reduce carbon emissions by up to 120,110 tonnes, aligning with India's vision of meeting 50 percent of energy requirements from renewables by 2030.

This project reinforces Super Smelter's commitment to realising India's vision of meeting 50 percent of energy requirements from renewables by 2030.

At Super Smelters Limited, we diligently explore technologies to reduce our carbon footprint, and we have developed and implemented various energy conservation measures ranging from process re-engineering, enhanced capacity utilisation, use of higher quality fuel, heat recovery initiatives at rolling mills, replacement of conventional lighting with LED lights, & others."
