The successful bidders for the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme, a 450,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) tender, have been announced. The tender is divided into Technology Agnostic Pathways (Bucket I) and Biomass-Based Pathways (Bucket II). The winners were announced by SECI (The Solar Energy Corporation of India).

In Bucket I, Reliance Green Hydrogen, ACME Cleantech, and Greenko ZeroC emerged as top winners, securing the maximum bidding capacity of 90,000 MTPA each. The average incentives for these winners stand at INR 18.90 per kg, INR 30 per kg, and INR 30 per kg, respectively.

Noteworthy victors in Bucket I include HHP Two (Hygenco), Welspun New Energy, Torrent Power, Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC), UPL Limited, and JSW Neo Energy.

Bucket II has Bharat Petroleum Corporation of India (BPCL) as the sole successful bidder, obtaining a capacity of 2,000 MTPA with an average incentive price of INR 30 per kg.

As the bids undergo evaluation, an official announcement of the results is anticipated later this month. Launched in December last year, the tender has garnered an overwhelming response, underscoring the escalating interest in establishing green hydrogen facilities in India.
