Automobile company Maruti Suzuki India said that it had modified the whole lineup of its cars to comply with the BSVI regime's higher emission standards.

The auto giant announced in a statement that all of its hatchbacks, sedans, MPVs, SUVs, and commercial vehicles now meet the new BSVI Phase-II real driving emissions (RDE) criteria and are also compatible with E20 fuel.

The new Maruti Suzuki vehicles that comply with RDE have an improved on-board diagnostics (OBD) system that continuously checks the vehicle's pollution control systems and alerts the driver if anything goes wrong, the company said.

According to MSI, the products now include electronic stability control (ESC) technology.

“At Maruti Suzuki, we are always finding new and innovative ways to reduce emissions from our vehicles. The Government’s drive to incorporate the new BS6 Phase II norms will go a long way in controlling emissions from vehicles over their entire lifespan,” Maruti Suzuki India Chief Technical Officer C V Raman noted.

During this upgrade, the business also used the chance to please clients even more by adding ESC, a key safety feature across the globe, he said.

Currently, Maruti Suzuki sells 15 different models in the nation.
