JSW Neo Energy, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, has unveiled plans to establish a pumped storage project in Telangana with a capacity of 1,500 MW and an investment of Rs 9,000 crore. During the World Economic Forum in Davos, JSW Neo Energy and the state government formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the project.

On the forum's sidelines, Sajjan Jindal, Chairman of JSW Group, met with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to announce the ambitious project. JSW Neo Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy specialising in renewable and new energy solutions, will lead the proposed project in Telangana.

Revanth Reddy, expressing commitment to the project, assured full government support, highlighting JSW as a key partner in Telangana's pursuit of clean and green energy. The Chief Minister also conveyed the government's eagerness to collaborate with JSW on future projects in India.

In response, Sajjan Jindal conveyed his gratitude to both JSW and the Government of Telangana for their joint endeavour. The meeting, attended by Minister for Industries D Sridhar Babu, Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, and Special Secretary for Investment Promotion Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, marked a significant step towards realising this substantial investment in Telangana's energy infrastructure.
