Experts now view millets as one of the foods of the future. In addition to being climate-smart plants, millet is regarded as a superfood by a large body of scientific research. ITC announced the "ITC Mission Millet" programme earlier this year. It is supported by a three-pillar strategy and focuses on developing a portfolio of "good-for-you" products, implementing sustainable agricultural practices, and raising consumer awareness of the advantages of millets.

The ITC Mission Millet project is in conjunction with the release of Sunfeast Farmlite Super Millets Cookies. Available in Multi Millet and Choco-chip varieties. The millet biscuits, known as Multi Millet, are produced from a combination of millets, including ragi and jowar (sorghum), and maida is not used. The cookies contain fibre, protein, and iron.

The addition of choco-chips to the choco-chip multi millets version also provides a hint of decadence. Both varieties are fantastic snack options for customers since they have expertly matched the two essential components of taste and nutrition.

Commenting on the launch, Ali Harris Shere, chief operating officer - Biscuits and Cakes Cluster, ITC Foods Division said, "At ITC, we are committed to provide our consumers with nutritious and sustainable food choices. With Mission Millet, we have embarked on a journey to build a culture of millet consumption through an exciting range of ‘good for you’ product portfolio. The new millet cookies are an integral step towards that mission. With the goodness of millets and the unique flavors taking center stage, we are sure that our consumers will enjoy this new range of biscuits. We believe that these millet cookies will not only satisfy the taste buds of our consumers but also have nutrients like protein and iron.”

A variety of millet-based goods are currently available from ITC Foods, including Aashirvaad multi-millet mix, Aashirvaad ragi flour, Aashirvaad gluten-free flour, etc. ITC intends to increase the variety of savoury and nourishing millet-based products it offers in the future across a wide range of market sectors.

Each 75g pack of the two varieties of Sunfeast Farmlite Super Millets Cookies costs Rs. 50. Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi + NCR, Kolkata, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kerala, and ITCStore.in are just a few of the cities where you may purchase them in retail settings. Soon, the item will also be accessible through rapid commerce and e-commerce channels.
