IndiGo has been awarded the prestigious title of 'Asia Environmental Sustainability Airline of the Year' by the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA), a globally respected authority on aviation market intelligence.
It's worth noting that IndiGo is the only Indian airline to receive this recognition among other distinguished recipients at CAPA's annual Environmental Sustainability Awards for Excellence, which took place in Kuala Lumpur on November 2, 2023. This gala event was attended by prominent aviation leaders from around the world, demonstrating the industry's unwavering commitment to environmental objectives.
IndiGo's fleet has been upgraded to new-generation aircraft, with around 80 percent of the planes being of the latest model. This significant investment has enabled the airline to reduce its CO2 footprint by 20 percent per available seat kilometre over the past seven years, highlighting its commitment to sustainable practises.
IndiGo operates a network comprising 85 domestic and 32 international destinations, providing affordable air transport to millions across South Asia, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. The airline aims to expand air connectivity in India and beyond, offering professional and efficient service to improve connections on every route.
