India underscored its significant contribution to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) resources during an interactive dialogue at the United Nations. Petal Gahlot, India's First Secretary at the United Nations for the Second Committee of the UNGA, emphasised this contribution on Tuesday.

She noted that UNDP served as a knowledge partner on Digital Public Infrastructure during India's G20 Presidency. Gahlot's remarks highlighted India's ongoing commitment to international development and cooperation, particularly in leveraging digital infrastructure to enhance public services and economic growth.

India, in a testament to the power of collaboration, underscored its joint efforts with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on the Localisation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the multidimensional poverty index in India, demonstrating the tangible impact of these partnerships.

In April, the United Nations held its First International Conference on Digital Public Infrastructure, an example of India's innovative spirit and forward-thinking approach. India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ruchira Kamboj, stated that the conference aimed to harness technology to advance Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promote inclusivity, inspiring the audience with India's vision for the future.

The event prominently featured India's pioneering Citizen Stack initiative, inspired by the transformative India Stack, showcasing the nation's successful integration of technology into citizen services.
