The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) commemorated World Environment Day 2024 with fervor, hosting a vibrant array of activities aimed at fostering environmental awareness and sustainability
The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), founded 1982, as an autonomous Natural Resources training institute located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, established by the MoEFCC, Government of India celebrated the World Environment Day on 5 June 2024 with a string of activities that included a tree plantation drive by students, faculty, researchers, foresters, environmentalists and staff in the verdant campus.
The plantation drive of local species was led by Chandra Prakash Goyal, Member Supreme Court appointed Central Empowered Committee and Sundeep Nayak former DG National Productivity Council and Member of Board of Governors, IIFM Bhopal. K Ravichandran, Director, IIFM also graced the occasion. While addressing the students and faculty, Goyal emphasised the comprehensive approach to conservation of environment and biodiversity in India and the important role being played by IIFM.
