IEEMA's flagship event, BID 2024, has achieved remarkable success by generating substantial business inquiries amounting to nearly $1 billion. This achievement showcases the significant international recognition and steady expansion of "Make in India" products in the new energy, electronics, and electrical sectors.

BID 2024 attracted over 50,000 businesspeople and 200 international and 100 domestic buyers for over 3,000 B2B meetings. Moreover, the event marked the launch of 20 new products.

More than 250 companies participated in BID 2024, including industry giants such as Apar, Exide, Hartek, HPL, Havells Stelmec, Siemens, Schneider Electric, and Secure Metres. The event provided an opportunity for connections to be forged, as prominent figures in the industry participated actively in business discussions.

Hamza Arsiwala, the President of IEEMA, attributed the tremendous response to the rapid expansion of India's electrical industry, particularly in power distribution and building electrical systems. He emphasised the significant impact of the Indian power sector's transformation and the increasing use of renewable energy sources as key factors.

Hartek Singh, the Chairman of DistribuELEC, stated that the primary purpose of BID 2024 was to showcase innovative products and cater to the needs of business attendees. The event's triumph was further validated by the positive response that entrepreneurs received, as many of them secured business offers.

Charu Mathur, Director General of IEEMA, highlighted the truly B2B nature of BID 2024, with start-ups gaining traction and numerous product launches sparking significant business inquiries. Mathur conveyed his gratitude to all individuals who contributed to the realisation of BID 2024 as a momentous event, and he shared his eagerness for the 2026 iteration of the exhibition.

IEEMA maintains a positive outlook regarding the forthcoming opportunities, recognising the collective dedication to progress within the sector as it contemplates the theme for this year.
