Danone India, a leading company in the health and nutrition sector, announced its achievement of B Corp™ certification. This certification recognises Danone India's high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

The rigorous B Corp™ certification process, conducted by the non-profit B Lab, assessed Danone India in areas such as governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. Danone India earned an impressive overall impact score of 87.9.

"Receiving B Corp™ certification validates our efforts to prioritise the well-being of people, communities, and the planet," said Sriram Padmanabhan, Marketing Director, Danone India. "We are committed to leading by example and inspiring other businesses in India to follow a sustainable path."

This certification aligns with Danone's global mission to become the world's largest B-Corp organisation by 2025. Danone India's initiatives, such as its zero water discharge facility in Lalru and its goals for 100 percent reusable, recyclable, and compostable packaging by 2030, demonstrate its ongoing commitment.

Additionally, partnerships with organisations like the Naandi Foundation and Doctors for You Foundation highlight Danone India's CSR programmes focused on safe drinking water, maternal and child health, and addressing iron deficiency anaemia.

B Corp™ certification is awarded to companies that meet strict standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Companies must complete a B Impact Assessment and earn a minimum score of 80 to be certified.
