The Swachhata Store, launched by Amazon in partnership with the Ministry of Jal Shakti, will showcase an array of deals on over 20,000 cleaning products, including vacuum cleaners, sanitary ware, water purifiers, mops, and brooms.
These products will be sourced from Indian sellers, SMEs, and manufacturers.
Beyond facilitating easy access to essential items, the store aims to impart valuable knowledge to customers about the manifold benefits of maintaining a clean environment.
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Jal Shakti, Government of India, congratulated Amazon for the launch, underscoring the significance of collective efforts and shared commitment to fostering a healthier, cleaner, and more prosperous nation.
Manish Tiwary, Vice President and Country Manager of Consumer Business at Amazon India, expressed his honour in supporting the government's vision of "Clean India." He highlighted the Swachhata Store's role in reinforcing Amazon's 4S commitment to cleanliness: 'Seamless smart cleaning,' 'Sanitation for everyone,' 'Strongly committed to cleanliness,' and 'Safeguard the environment.' Tiwary emphasised that the online store aligns with "sanitation as everyone's business."
He expressed his gratitude to the Hon'ble Minister for hosting the launch event. The Amazon Swachhata Store not only aligns with the government's vision but also contributes to harnessing the power of technology. The store will feature advanced cleaning technologies, including robotic vacuum cleaners, water purifiers, and air purifiers, in line with the government's vision of leveraging technology for a cleaner and healthier India.
