Tata Motors gears up to launch four new mass-market EVs by late 2022. Tata Motors has been at the forefront of mass-market EVs in India with several of its cars, namely the Tigor EV, the Nexon EV, and the Tiago EV, and, more recently, the Punch EV already in the market.

The brand is now readying four more mass-market EVs that will go on sale by late next year, all based on Tata Motors' Acti.EV architecture. The EVs on the launch pad are the Curvv, the Harrier, the Sierra, and the Altroz, which will hit the roads in 2025."

The Curvv EV will be Tata's next EV SUV. It will sit above the Nexon EV in the line-up and rival the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, that will go on sale early next year.

The Curvv EV, just like the standard Curvv, will come in a four-door SUV-coupe body style. Tata Motors has planned to introduce the Curvv EV ahead of the ICE-powered versions to help the brand get an edge in the midsize EV SUV segment before the Creta EV arrives.

The next in line will be the Harrier EV SUV, closely based on the Harrier EV concept shown at the Auto Expo last year. The Harrier EV will carry over the Land Rover-derived Omega architecture used by the ICE-powered Harrier and combine that with Tata's Gen 2 EV architecture. While the Harrier EV is still based on an ICE platform, it's being heavily re-engineered for electrification.

The Harrier EV will go on sale later this year. As reported earlier, it will launch before the long-awaited Harrier turbo-petrol, which is also being prepared for a market introduction. This will be followed by the Sierra EV and the Altroz EV in 2025.
